Renovating the Kitchen

The before, during, and after pictures of the partial kitchen remodel. The upper cabinets and stove vent removed. Look at the different wall colors. After a good clean and staining, doing the best on a stain that brought all of the shades together, we hung open shelves giving that kitchen a much-needed upgrade.

We were able to remove that white bottom cabinet by simply picking it up, it wasn’t bolted to the wall which is a bonus for new DIY’ers. The upper cabinets were tricky, luckily we had a guy there who was supposed to install the French doors (that’s another blog post!) but instead helped us remove the uppers and was able to take out the outdated stove vent.

Those metal shelves were tricky trying to get them straight. It was one of those ‘super fun’ couple moments.

Now onto the bottom cabinets.

Once we removed the upper cabinets you can see the difference in the stain color.
